Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Flesance (“we”, “us”), the publisher of Flesance. They cover the Flesance desktop app, the website at flesance.studio, the studio that runs in the browser, and the instrument library. By using any of them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. What Flesance is
Flesance is a digital audio workstation: software for writing, recording, arranging and mixing music. The desktop app is free to download and use. The website offers the manual, the instrument library and downloads.
2. Your music is yours
Everything you make with Flesance belongs to you. We claim no rights in your projects, recordings or exported files, and you may use them for any purpose, including commercially. Your projects stay on your own computer; we do not receive them.
3. Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to install and use the app, free of charge, for private and commercial work alike. You may not sell the app itself, remove its notices, or pass it off as your own.
4. Instruments and recordings
The recorded instruments in the library come from third parties under open licences, listed on the licenses page. You may use them in your music freely. If you share the recordings themselves, follow the licence of each one; some ask that the author is credited.
5. Fair use of the site
- Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
- Do not use the Flesance name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
- Do not use the site to distribute malware or to harm other people.
6. Accounts and paid services, in the future
Today Flesance has no accounts and nothing to pay for. We plan to add optional accounts (signing in with a code sent to your email) and an optional paid subscription that syncs projects through the cloud. When they arrive, they will come with their own terms, shown to you before you sign up, and these terms will be updated. The app will remain usable without an account.
7. No warranty
Flesance is provided “as is”. It is early software and may contain faults. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Keep copies of work that matters to you.
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profit or other indirect damage arising from the use of Flesance. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as Flesance grows. The date at the top says when the current version took effect. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site before it applies.
10. Law and disputes
These terms do not choose the law of one country. The consumer law of the country where you live applies to them, and nothing here takes away a right that law gives you. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most problems are solved faster by email than by any court.
